What made you want to be a Behavioral Counselor?
I started my Youth counseling career at the age of 21 years old working with troubled children in boys group homes. Wanting to learn more about how behaviors develop into crimes, I went into my Adult counseling career as the youngest Behavioral Modification Counselor at California Department of Corrections State Prison, California Rehabilitation Center - C.R.C., at the age of 25. In addition to my regular caseload, I took on extra responsibilities developing a men’s parenting program as well as a music program in the prison.
I later went on to work at Ironwood State Prison, where I had a caseload of majority homicide offenders. As I counseled in prisons, I founded my youth organization, Mutivation Youth Services at the age of 26. My goal was to reach at-risk youth and encourage them to reach higher heights no matter of their life situations. With serving over two decades later, I am not close to being tired of the race to reach all children and giving them the message of,
