“Mental Health Supports”
As a Mental Health professional I deal with students facing both emotional and mental hardships. In the last couple of years, I have attended multiple funerals of students who have committed suicide. I have also been in contact with County Sheriffs due to multiple students on the run for homicide related offenses. I have counseled students that have been raped and sex traffic victims.
Criminal activity, drug use, depression, suicidal thoughts, sexual abuse, self-worth are problems facing our youth today. As educators we know that school is a safe place for students. With the current pandemic in place we can only imagine what kids are experiencing. Studies have shown that if a child’s emotional and mental state is not intact, they will not be successful in their academics.
I will assess your populations climate and put together my award-winning support plan that will you the results you need. Plans vary to include therapists; school based ongoing mental health education, local mental health awareness groups, hired mental health professionals, social workers and more.
