ROBERT “SMOOV” BRYANT –
Entertainment Professional| Youth Advocate | Educator| Speaker
Robert “Smoov” Bryant is a dynamic public speaker whose life journey bridges the worlds of entertainment, youth development, and education. Straight out of high school, he pursued his dream of entering the music industry—and succeeded. Robert began his career recording and touring as a vocalist with R&B legends Jon B, Jesse Powell, Chico DeBarge, and Loose Ends, experiences that shaped his foundation as both an artist and a creative professional.
His talent quickly expanded into music production, where he worked with artists including Jesse Powell, Cuba Gooding Sr., Travis Mills, members of B2K, and collaborated with industry leaders such as Mario “Choc” Neely of “Ice Ice Baby” fame, and Dr. Dre. His work even earned him an offer of a production contract from the iconic super-producer Teddy Riley.
While building his entertainment career, Robert simultaneously dedicated himself to serving youth. He began working in group homes as a youth counselor, later taking on significant roles in correctional counseling as a Behavior Modification Counselor with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, serving at both the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) and Ironwood State Prison. These experiences deepened his commitment to mentoring young people facing adversity.
In 2005, he founded Mutivation Youth Services, a youth agency that continues to serve the Inland Empire with programs in arts education, behavior modification, mental health awareness, gang intervention, substance abuse prevention, and college & career readiness. His “Dream Big” philosophy has reached thousands of students across Riverside, San Bernardino Counties, and the Bay Area.
Still an active figure in entertainment, Robert expanded into artist management and tour operations. He joined forces with Money B of Digital Underground, taking on roles in road management, booking, merchandise operations, and performance, and has performed with the group for over a decade. Robert later became a booking agent and manager for high-profile entertainment, corporate, and nonprofit clients, bringing talent such as Bobby Valentino, B2K, YG, Michel’le, Ruff Endz, ROME, Chef Robert Stewart, Marcus Paulk, Dr. Cornel West, Olympic Gold Medalist Eddie Hart Sr., and the world-renowned dance icon Shabba-Doo, whom he managed until his passing.
